ACES is a non-profit organization permitted by the Belize Forest Department and dedicated to the conservation of Belize's critical wetland habitats and protected species, specifically Crocodilians, through scientific research and education to preserve wildlife for future generations.

Help take a Bite out of Extinction!

Your tax deductible donation helps to fund our country-wide crocodile rescue program and
supplies food, vitamins, medical care, and maintenance of natural habitats for crocs undergoing rehabilitation, as well as for injured and problematic crocodiles living in the sanctuary.

Donations are provided through
The Belize Economic and Ecological Development Fund, a US 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Rescues, Rehabilitation, & Releases

Your donations enable croc experts, biologists, and volunteers to rescue crocodiles that are ill, injured, problematic, or being illegally held in captivity in often inhumane conditions. Rescued crocodiles are medically treated and rehabilitated for re-release when able. Some crocs have to remain in captivity and need your help for their constant care, food and natural habitats. As rare as Polar bears, American Crocodiles, Crocodylus acutus, are found only in the Americas. Only through working together can we save our species for future generations.

Education & Community Outreach

Education and community outreach are key to compassionate and successful conservation. Your support helps us to educate the local people on how to safely coexist with these apex predators, and the importance of crocodiles in Belize's ecosystems.

Our goal is not only to save threatened crocodiles from extinction, but to keep the people and communities safe from potential deadly croc-human conflicts. People fear what they do not understand, so let's learn more!

Research & Conservation

Ambergris Caye, Belize's premier tourist destination, has the highest number of croc-human conflicts in the country of Belize. Grants and your generosity support our ongoing research to reduce these conflicts.
